Phaser Vibe
An organic phaser for your Korg Logue machines. Free.
Some phasers are clean, transparent, surgical. Phaser Vibe is none of those.
Inspired by the Univibe circuits of the 1960s, Phaser Vibe delivers that slightly unstable, colored phaser sound you hear in dub, vintage soul, and psychedelic textures โ that touch of imperfection that makes a sound feel alive.
How it works
Phaser Vibe modulates notches in the signal's frequency response using six all-pass filter stages driven by a low frequency oscillator. Standard so far.
What sets it apart from other phasers โ including those bundled by Korg โ is its zero delay feedback structure and a deliberate choice to use non-identical cutoff frequencies across each filter stage. Where a MXR Phase 90 or Mu-Tron Bi-Phase use uniform frequencies, Phaser Vibe takes its cue from Univibe-type circuits, giving it a thicker, less symmetrical character that sits differently in a mix.
Available parameters (depending on the target machine): modulation amount, modulation speed, feedback, mix, and volume.
